Dryer lint contains synthetic fibers and some say they aren't safe for birds. Others say the dryer lint doesn't dry quickly enough for nests. Some say it doesn't matter. It's been my experience that if they see something they don't want or something that isn't exactly right for their nests, they don't usually take it.

I do know they love yarn, string and their favorite is hair, real hair.
