I would like to bring this thread back to life. I am trying to replace my collection I lost to Scale and need some of the information in this thread to do that. I hope all you Spider lovers join me in enjoying and trying to find the different varieties that are out there and available.
I find that if you do not know your spiders and buy them from just anyone, you do not get what you think you bought. Before you buy a spider, it is a good idea to be sure you are getting the one you thought you bought. I found over the years some of the vendors I thought knew their plants send you something other than what you order. It is so frustrating because you can not send them back for the one you ordered because they do not really have what you thought you were buying. Am I confusing you with this statement?
Believe it or not, this just happened to me again for the second time. I bought by name only, not seeing the plant, just taking the word of the seller. When I got the plant I was not feeling well and just told my caregiver to put it with the plants I keep in quarantine for now. When she brought it in weeks later, I could not remember what I bought but when I finally realized it. I found it was not what it should be....unless it is a new variety, which I am now trying to identify. That is why I just love working with plants. Always something to keep your mind busy as your body seems to wear out.
Rolling on the floor laughing At 90 years old that is for darn sure.
