Thanks Hetty, I have heard Kauai referred to as the "Garden Island". So far we just have the main flights reserved. I'll have to see if I can swing a side trip to Kauai for a couple of days in the middle.

We do plan on visiting that Kilauea Volcanoes National Park. I have seen some spectacular pictures of the Red Rivers of Lava Flowing down to the sea. One friend told me the lava they were walking on was still hot and it melted into the rubber soles of their shoes. Guess I better take a spare pair of shoes along Rolling my eyes.

Fortunately we have friends who live on both the Kona and Hilo sides of the Island so we will get to kind of live like the locals. I want to go to the farmers markets and taste all the fruits on the list that I just read for the Hilo farmers market. Some of them I have never heard of. Some I've heard of, but never tasted. Should be a fun experience!
