I ran into Hetty on the Plant ID Cubit and luckily too as I was looking for someone/where to ask Plumeria Questions.
A few of you I've met before but....

I'm Ric and a Tropical Plantaholic in Cincinnati.
Currently specializing in Aroids (Elephant Ears, Philodendron, Monstera, etc.), Tropical water plant gardening, Succulents and to a much smaller extent these days Bromeliads.

I do a fair selection of Brugs and have had Plumes before..
I grew them years ago w/ little success though.
My neighbor has gotten me back into them w/ an acquisition of a Plumeria from Jeremy in JAX.
Known on Dave's as JaxFlaGardener.
He broke off some limbs and gave them to my neighbors.
One has survived but not thrived and certainly hasn't bloomed.
So I am giving him some help and gathering info on them.

I overwintered the tree (3' tall 3 branches) at work in a Southwest facing glassed area.
Kept it bone dry all winter and about 5 weeks ago moved it to pure South facing.
I noticed the sap rising and watered deeply one a week.
Two weeks ago I gave it a light feeding w/ a 20/20/20.

It is now just starting to leaf on all three branches.

Can cuttings be taken now?
I'm fairly good w/ succulent cuttings so that part doesn't bother me.
Will that interfere w/ bloom development?
What rooting medium do you suggest?

Do you all trade cuttings?

I'll have more questions as the season progresses and they get outside.

Thanks for any help,
Ric
