Victory seeds has helped me again:)! I wrote an email that Mike replied to explaining how around twenty years ago or so I was searching for Victoria Rhubarb and found Victory Seed was the only Company I could find that carried the seed:)! I mentioned I was not sure, but Mike helped me narrow it down to our departed, but never forgotten sweet gardener/writer Carla Emory's book Country Living (The most wonderful book on homesteading/gardening). He mentioned he actually was on her radio show and that is wonderful! I can only imagine those talks! Well, due to children, grandchildren, moving, caring for parents, myself and doing some gardening in between I was finally getting back to some real gardening and ordering some "new to me" fun seed to try, but once again the "Lady Cowpea" is a family favorite, my late Aunt Linda adored them and you guessed it! The only place I can find the seed is Victory Seeds:)! This spring though I have an adopted helper from the shelter, she is an older beagle helper, lol and her name is Lady! I will be sure and send a picture of her later with her Lady peas:)! They are a lovely white small pea, but the flavor is like no other pea out there to us. It is smooth, fresh, smooth a butter flavor, so good. You will have to try it! I can't describe it. I love purple hull and pinkeye peas, but these are different, to me a bit like a cross between a small green bean/pea/English pea? Hmmm, well they are sooo good, you can describe them, but they are so fresh tasting, like just out of the garden! So happy to be able to pass Victory Seeds on to my sons! Oh and the Victoria Rhubarb seed grew me a perennial row about twenty five feet long! I wish I could find the picture of those! Beautiful:)!!! I still am growing Victoria Rhubarb:)! Gorgeous! I will take a new picture:)! Happy Gardening! Thank you Mike for the super nice reply about you and Carla and keep up the good work and carry on with heirloom seed preservation! They are so worth it:)!
