Dear Gardeners,
The red dragon tail plant is a unique plant, as it is a "carrion" plant. So the flowers can be unpleasant to smell. However it also has the unique ability to attract the more pesky insects that can be a nuisance in yards and patios. If you grow this plant you may notice a marked reduction in flies, mosquitoes, and other flying insects! I find this is a huge help in the summer months as often I have mosquitoes hatching out in my other potted plants due to the moisture. I have almost eliminated the mosquitoes and flies on my patio because of this lovely plant.
