Susan..my sister also has reflux and her doc did the very same thing
She passed her echocardiogram with flying colors
She passed her treadmill stress test with flying colors
He ordered a cardiac calcium CT ...her score was 586!
HORRENDOUS!
She had to pay 99 dollars for it because Medicare does not pay...but it will save her life. The calcium is located in the 'widow maker' ..the left coronary..not sure where so she will have angiography to pinpoint.
I urge all who undergo cardiac testing to speak to their doctors about this quick test...it looks at the vessels that may stay hidden in other routine testing
