Yes, we did receive the rhizomes from Sissinghurst Irises the usual way, but I just remembered that I once received fresh iris rhizomes in February, packed in the way you describe from Peter Beal's nursery in the UK. Maybe because they sent them with some roses I also ordered. The irises did well after I potted them up and kept them inside until it was warm enough to plant them out.
