When we first moved here 24 years ago, we had our garden down in the field in a 30 x 20 fenced in area. I found having it that far away from the house, I did not tend to it as often as I should. That's why we went to a number of smaller gardens closer to the house...wherever we could fit them in. That old garden down in the field is still there with a few dwarf fruit trees. They don't need as much attention. I don't like going up and down there, especially the climb up the hill, unless I have to or am feeling energetic!
