With 150+ roses, I put a lot of stock in the gauntlet gloves I buy to do my pruning, and thought I'd pass along my thoughts on a couple of brands. First, I should say that all glove leather is NOT alike. Goat skin is far more resistant to being pierced by thorns than other animal leathers. So for years my favorite gauntlet gloves have been made with goatskin for the hand and fingers, and cow hide for the gauntlet going up to the elbow. A brand I have bought in the past and like is North Star. You can find them on ebay from sellers like this one (with whom I have no connection whatsoever): https://www.ebay.com/itm/7999-...

(The above ebay seller sells them in different sizes; just click on "See other items" if you're familiar with the links in ebay auctions.)

But this past weekend I ordered a different pair made by Exemplary Gardens, that looked similar to the North Star gloves, but sell for a few dollars less on Amazon, here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01K119Q5W/

I think Exemplary Garden's gloves are fairly comparable to North Star's gloves. The goatskin fingers may be a bit more supple, but the sleeve going up to the elbow is more narrow, and might be a bit tight for someone with fuller forearms than mine.

So for what it's worth, I'm passing my experience along. Again, I have no connection to either manufacturer or vendor.

Edited to change "Exceptional" to "Exemplary".
