I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database!
Hybrids sold by any good company will state either hybrid or F1 after the name. So that is very easy to check. The thing you need to worry about is cross pollination with your plants. Though capable of self-pollinating, peppers will cross when grown in close proximity. You need about 500 feet between varieties. Having other plants in between or placing on opposite sides of buildings can help. You don't want a direct line for the insects to follow(bee line, lol) from one type of pepper to the other.
Hope that helps,
Remy
