Some people don't bother to water sans during winter months at all. I water just a little once a month. Use well draining cactus mix with 50% pumice. You could wait till spring to do it if you don't water much. Also avoid drafts. What you have looks like Sansevieria Trifasciata Black Futura 'Goldedge'. A lot of them have been coming out of China lately. I just bought one a few months ago on clearance with dead house plants at my local Wal-Marts. They didn't water them which had no effect on the sans. Also most at big box stores and grocrey stores have wrong names on them. Good Luck and have Fun.
