I sure learned a lesson this year. In the past I used Promix BX for everything. This year I used the promix pgx for seed starting. The mix was too fine and compressed, crusted over and overall was not a great choice. I think it would be fine had I transplanted the seedling within a few weeks of germination. It seemed to restrict oxygen to the roots. Once I got the seedlings into a bigger pot with bx, they really took off. A big difference within a day.
