This week the weather is beautiful, last week it was either hot or raining and the week before that we had freezing temps at night. Needless to say the iris are a little dazed and confused.
And cold!
Many of the first buds on the iris froze...insert shivering emoji... Luckily many others did not.

A second year plant in my nursery garden, this is a trade from another PA NGA member.
It has increased enough to return to sender this year.

Love the colors in this early bloomer. Another NGA trade. Second picture is a chimera, most likely the result of our untimely cold snap.
Inspired Paul Black 2009
This iris is smaller in size and makes up for it in subtle color and substance. Grows well and looks good wet!
