I think the most intimating seed that I tried was a banana. I presoaked the seeds overnight and then I put the seeds into a ziplock baggy with damp potting mix and left it by the kitchen sink. 1 out of 3 germinated in about 1-1/2 months.

The banana grew to about 2 feet, but our home/environment is too dry for that type of plant. This was before I had a greenhouse, so really I should give it a try again.
