Got a 6" cutting from my son in 2016 when he came back from Hawaii and it is now about 3 feet tall. It has not bloomed yet because we have to overwinter it in the house. This year, it kept some of the leaves all winter, then we repotted it so it may have taken a setback. It is looking pretty healthy, but I don't know if we will see a bloom on it this year.

Just a little side note: I realized when I just looked at this picture now that the 'flower bed' my husband made me is in the background. He cut our old 40 year-old headboard and footboard down to this size and I have planted red portulaca in it and hope that it will get tall enough to look like a red bedspread later. I don't expect the wood to last but a couple of years, but it is just a bit of whimsy to enjoy.
May all your weeds be wildflowers. ~Author Unknown
