You had no way of knowing that I'm still having temps in the 70's here.Some years we have hardly any cold weather you just never know.I thought house plants stop growing or putting out new growth in the winter.Everyone of my plants have new growth,they are growing like it's spring

You read stop feeding when growth stops & start feeding when growth starts back

I just go by the time of year or no feeding for several months (they get no extra help)but they don't understand it's time to rest?
