What fertilizer would you recommend ….I usually put one tablespoon
of 10 10 10 granular digging in around each daylily hill on March lst.
I do not fertilize any more the rest of the year...its way too hot to
do so here in lower zone 8 ..today is 98 and heat index over 100..Two
weeks of this and unusually hot May and June lst.

This year the it appears the fertilizer burnt some of the leaves
of my perennials and the daylilys have not done well this year
due to warm feb and freezes in March a couple of times?
other wise thrips or aphids..I sprayed them with soapy water
diluted well when I saw aphids in April once...this year.

I have used slow release fertilizer in the past and not much success
with that..I would dig down months later and it was sitting in the ground
and to me appeared to not have dissolved even on a good rainy year
and me hand watering the daylilys..

Milogranite
applying it once around each daylily hill on March lst will that
be enough to help them produce large and pretty blooms?

It it safe to fertilize with it in real hot weather a second fertilizing around each hill
in June?

How much would you scratch in around each daylily hill?

What would be affordable for daylilys?

thinking of the physical part also of hand digging fertilizer around each hill with nerve damage in both hands and elbows..and health...
trying to do the best but prefer just doing it March lst ..

thank you
