Thanks Stush, My problem is that I've never owned any other Rose of Sharon. The flowers look pretty big to me especially in spring, It always has that 'wow' factor. I was thinking you were right about the seeds because, I've never seen any and also I have other shrubs that do not produce seed and they flower profusely. That is the case with Diane, I could not believe all the buds, they just keep coming and coming. I love this shrub. Lovey dubby
