What are the thoughts on using Jasmine as a ground cover. Just spotted some on a drive around. Will it be 'thatchy' enough to block weeds?
If not, what would be good ground covers for Houston, in a bed say......2ft x 10ft. At the moment it is overrun by the lawn creeping over it and weed grasses mixed in also. Come cooler weather I need to tidy it up it is an eye sore.

Thanks
