I had to give up on my Big Beef Steak tomato seedlings, as that very same thought had occurred to me- exactly ! At least , the Giant Marconi Bell Peppers made it ( only, just a couple of them.) I'm having to decide, what's worth the trouble & what takes up, more of my time & attention, to those plants, that are more important . Started some of those tomatoes in a baggy, so they'd stay moist until germination & then added other seeds & next I knew, tiny mushrooms grew ! Hadn't actually tried to grow those. At first I thought , maybe the Passiflora seeds had started to sprout, until I put on my glasses to really see what it was. haha
I can always go get a tomato, at the nearby Wood's Orchard ( farmer's market) & get freshly picked, ripe peaches, soon, too !
