If you want to use an ad-blocker, I would suggest the use of AdNauseum.
It makes it difficult to track your browsing whilst hiding ads (effectively, it "clicks" everything, so in this case Garden.org would still generate revenue from the ads, but you wouldn't see the ads and because it clicks everything, it's harder for advertising companies to profile you).
