Yeah, that's what I am talking about. So many people list hundreds of seeds that they are going to W/S. What happens when it is plant out time? I am in my 70th year and cannot do that much. As well I must be mindful of the deer, as they do not care what I plant as long as it is for them...LOL Rolling on the floor laughing I do now, have a fenced area, but I cannot plant hundreds of things in there either. There are 8 square foot gardens, a (new) cottage garden bed, a white flower border, a dark side garden 3 fruit trees. Oh and asparagus planted along the fence in one area and some small areas for peas and sweet peas, as well as beans and squash in turn. The other areas that are not fenced are - A Peach of a Garden, borders on 3 sides of the house, a clay hill on the south side of the house, a driveway "landscaped" area, and another driveway garden and going around to the side of the road and two bulb gardens.

I have not been able to keep up with this the past few years as I had 4 surgeries including a rotator cuff replacement and complete knee replacement. So I have to go slowly and do a section at a time. Last year I focused on the veggie garden as the SFG's had to have their soil sifted out. this was a time-consuming process, as I use the beds for "spare plots" or holding gardens for plants that had been sitting in pots that never got planted out last year. I could not just leave them in their pots as need really needed some room for their roots. Hopefully I will get them planted as most are daylilies for the "Peach of a Garden". Also I must assiduously spray repellant to keep the deer from gobbling up all that is planted outside the fenced garden. Now I am getting gophers, moles and voles! Grumbling

So you say....winter sow!! And sure I will, as the sun will come up in the morning. I just hope that I do not overdo it. How many of you have leftovers, or do you get all of your seedlings planted? Confused

Your gardening friend and "seedaholic"..... I tip my hat to you.
