Dublin Bay is hands down my favorite red climber. I have a dark purple clematis growing through it. Can't think of the clematis' name at the moment.
Red Eden is terrific, but here the blooms don't always open.
Chamblees ships nice roses for a fair price, and many of the 'Earthkind' designated roses ARE Buck roses, which definitely are cold hardy. I have all the Earthkind roses, and also grow many of the ones on the list waiting for the designation. Cold hardy here in Kansas means more than cold hardy in some place like upstate New York where the plants have a insulating blanket of snow.
There is one exception on the Earthkind roses. Belinda's Dream ALWAYS dies back to the ground for me. She doesn't get very big in the summer, either, but she blooms non-stop, and has no blackspot. Tiffany stays big, but oh my what a blackspot magnet. I love the form on Tiffany, but I finally gave her up when I decided not to spray. Our Rose Society keeps tabs on which Earthkind roses do the best here, and unless you have to have a high centered hybrid tea, you can't go wrong on Earthkind.
Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.
