FYI, the seed trading Alana mentioned is often via seed swaps on this website. If you click on the little stack of horizontal bars and select Seed Swaps, you can check out the upcoming swaps. The cost is postage and contributing some seeds. Newbies are welcome, even if they have very few seeds to offer (yet). Members have not finished posting their offerings, but you can join a swap and see what has been posted so far. If you decide not to participate, you can easily remove yourself from the swap list at any time. I am offering Hardy Hibiscus seeds from a variety of crosses, and someone else may offer Rose of Sharon seeds.
