I have run into that same problem before, but as long as the actual bulb is smaller than the lip of the pot, you should be able to get it out. Lay the pot on its side, and start coaxing out any soil that you can, all around the edges. Then grab the leaves, as a group, low down by the soil line and start jiggling the bulb back and forth, while tugging gently. sooner or later, the bulb should come out. Good luck! Crossing Fingers!
