If the leaf is burnt or severely damaged, you will lose them. They will not re-green or recover. Remove them all with a sharp knife. Make sure you cut into good tissue otherwise the damage could spread and consume the entire plant.
Treat all cut edges with cinnamon. Keep them shaded and well hydrated.
Even a little sun with temperatures over 85 can do a lot of damage in a very short period of time! Minutes in fact.
Very painful lesson.
Orchid lecturer, teacher and judge. Retired Wildlife Biologist. Supervisor of a nature preserve up until I retired.
