thank you leslie. 'columbia deep water' was its first bloom. 'angelic choir' tried to bloom last year, deep in the foliage; this year it was the tallest of all with the most substantial of the ji's.
'angelic choir's' last bloom wasn't camera worthy. it bloomed with browned shriveled petals on one side. i'm not sure of the cause, but there's hope for another in the socket few days away from unfurling.
i sprinkle 1/4 c of organic rose food and sprinkle at the beginning of the growing season, and then after the last bloom.
