I appreciate your compliment! I actually don't think the Queen would be a very successful houseplant unless it was grown in a large enclosed terrarium/vivarium environment. The roots like constant moisture without being waterlogged. I am growing mine in straight sphagnum moss. It really does like a lot of humidity too and does not like prolonged cold. I think that people do successfully grow things like clavinerum and crystallinum indoors. I would never say never, but it would be an expensive experiment I personally think, (unless they are a lot cheaper in Europe than they are here). The jewel alocasias that I have managed to re-collect (I used to have a lot of them) I am growing in terrarium/vivarium conditions now. There is a huge aroid explosion here in the US and maybe all over (everywhere except this forum Rolling on the floor laughing ) It seems that a lot of the plants that were in tissue culture are no longer being produced, and the existing plants are selling for hugely inflated prices. Some people buy things they have no hope of keeping alive either sue to lack of an appropriate habitat or lack of knowledge. I think its kind of sad. But hey if they have money to burn.....
