Has anyone read Warlight a Novel by Michael Ondaatje? Sorry i've not be keeping up with the thread. It takes place in London and Suffolk directly after WWII during the transition between the official end of the war and the "war" that continued in a misty uncertainty for many people. For me, the prose is magic and reminds me of the "not life as usual" we are experiencing today. I am trying my best to be brief. Anyone interested in compelling writing combined with an interest in history of the period might want to take a look.
