Nice pics! Texas has lost a lot of trees because of development, sustained drought and of course, the recent wildfires. The state parks are in crisis mode now. Their budget is very limited these days and the damages from the wildfires were just terrible in some parks. It has brought them to the point of begging for contributions this year. I plan to help as much as I can, but these are hard times and can't do very much.
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
