That's one way to force (refrigerator). Another way is to bury pots in a trench outside. I also use an outside covered stairwell to the basement as illustrated herewith. Under the blanket is a large tote full of more tulips and daffodils, the pots have lilies in them.

I do put the daffodils into the garden after forcing but discard the tulips.
Nothing that's been done can ever be changed.
