I agree that the heat does strange things to daylilies. This past season my seedling was under shade cloth because I used it for hybridizing, this season it will be in full sun so I can get an accurate % rate on how often it cristates. Under shade cloth it did the full thing like the photo until the last few blooms then it was not as full but still cristateing.
Jill I am actually in Alabama, about one mile from Florida as the seagull flies, the first little town when you enter Alabama from Florida.
