Anyone ever use moving blankets as curtains? I saw this the other day and decided to try it. I bought 3 and used in with the bubble wrap but it hasn't really been that cold since I bought them. I do think I may have put up the bubble wrap too early so I took it back down today. However, I only places it over my windows, not the ceiling. I would like to actually cover my roof and windows from the outside but remove it during the day for more sunlight. I am spending too much money trying to find something to hold heat. I also have 3 black trash cans of water against my north wall but its not heating up. GH is 12x16 with 10' ceilings and on concrete floor. I used large windows from a house built in 1905 on my south and west walls. North is completely covered and east is 80% covered. I have used 2 different heaters with a little luck but it's not even really cold yet. I don't want a high electric bill all winter. Thinking of using a propane heater. Suggestions?
