this is a volunteer and I am not sure from where.
it has beautiful feathers/split pedals and a small cone that doesn't open all the way , stays trumpet shape
started blooming some what late and I can not find any seed pods
just read a suggestion mutants may not set seed?


Hi Cinda, that's an Ipomoea purpurea flower form called "hige" by the Japanese. Hige I have been told means beard or bearded.

What a pretty gift from nature!
