I can remember when Pat Stamile released Admiral's Braid, everyone who was anyone in daylilies had to have it because of the gold edge, wasn't long before every catalog was full of gold edge daylilies. I think the next big thing was a blue daylily, which never happened that I know of. We do have what is called blue eyes and blue edges. When the blue thing quited down along came the green edges, and now attempting to get a green daylily. Somewhere in all of this came the teeth and now all these traits except the blue are a dime a dozen. So somewhere, someone is working on what you want you want to see in daylilies. I do believe most will never be fragrant, its been bred out like most of the roses. Things are happening so fast in daylilies that even I may live long enough to see all your wishes come true.
