I have recently ordered a pound of these seeds to replace the grass in my yard. I purchased a gallon at Maggie's Herb farm back in about 2006 and 1 gallon spread to about 200 sq ft.
This was in Jacksonville, Fl and now I am 250 miles south.
If I had taken plugs and replanted, I believe it would have covered the whole yard. It doesn't hurt to mow it, but thats more for weed control. It also encourages more flowers which are edible.
Another fact I learned about "Ornamental Peanut" from Maggie's Herbs is that birds wallow in it if they get lice.

I had quite a collection of flowering vines here and they had smothered out all grass and everything else. The ground is bare, the moon is waxing. Come on seeds! Hurray!
