LOL. I was reading through it and not realizing that it was from 7 years ago until a couple of messages right before yours. I thought wait, I know there was a new message! This thread hit home for me. I wouldn't say everyone in our area suffered as much, but our immediate geographic location did not get much rain at all. Sort of like a micro climate drought. NASA has done studies and found that major cities impact weather patterns. As storms approach the updraft caused by the heat coming from the city, the storm either goes around or dissipates and reforms. Something you don't think about buying a house until after the fact. We live on the west side of a major city and since that's the direction we get most of the weather, we lose out on a lot of rain. :(
