I'm in Northeast Mississippi. We're a zone 7b. I live 15 miles due North of Tupelo, Ms which is Elvis Presley's birthplace. We're also about 90 miles Southeast of Memphis, TN.

I've lived in MS my whole life except for 6 months spent in south Texas. Wonderful folks out there but I missed my mother so much, that we had to come back. I'm thankful, she died about a year after we got back. That's been 22 years ago and it still seems like a yesterday.

I love it here, but we have terrible blue grey clay soil. This is bad enough, but then throw in 50 million tree roots and I put all my plants in pots about 5 years ago. I have many older ones in the ground, They will grow, but it's nearly impossible to dig them up. I guess daylilies will grow about anywhere.

Blessings, Mona(notice the time, I'm having a "No sleep night". I think I'll go take a nice warm shower and see if that will help.)
