Same here.

I live on the coast north of Boston so often the nights and mornings are too cool for the flowers to even open correctly. I have to stay away from many southern beauties and those with chicken fat edges because of it.

Story -
Several years ago Country Gardens Magazine came here for a garden shoot unexpectedly after a cancellation locally. I decided to have the the daylilies featured (gives herself a gold star * ).
Crew came at 7AM! Now normally my flowers would have been open around 10 but that early Aug day, it was cool as well as early so I had to ditch my planned features and run around hunting for anything that was open!!! I should share more sometime. It was quite an event.
