Those do look strange, but the new leaves still look great on them, Karen. I have never tried Yvonne's salvia before, but it's one I've got on my list to get one of these days.

I have foxglove that I ws last year starting to bloom now. I should have started more this year so I would have more for next year. Maybe it's not too late...long as I baby them along and don't forget to water. I also have bb's starting to bloom. I ws some of them this year. Those have not bloomed yet, but had some reseeded ones that are huge now.

Sounds like a good start, Arlene-on the seedlings, not the weeds! Calendula is one of my favorites and who doesn't love zinnias?! Last year the butterflies were in a frenzy over them.
