I have had a few people save me the gallon buckets that cheap ice cream is sold in. They have a little handle and a lid. I use these to water my plants in place. Two for each plant, I water them in one and drain them in the other. I can water a lot of the plants before the bucket is full, and then I put the lid on and take it outside. Without the lid, I splish splash it all over the house.
