Ok, more bad news. I'm trying to be brutally honest about this subject, but I had such high hopes! I put the seedlings through another 24 hours of the pest strip treatment. Uncovered them yesterday at 1:30 in the afternoon. Just a little while ago I went down there to get something out of the freezer and stopped by to check on the babies. I saw 3 adult fungus gnats flitting around the leaves of the seedlings. I'm pretty sure this means the pest strip treatment is a failure. Thumbs down

The next thing I will try is the Sevin. Since I just watered the babies three days ago, I won't do a drench. I'll sprinkle the stuff on the leaves and soil. Hopefully this will get the adult females that are laying their eggs, as well as the newly formed gnats leaving the soil. Sighing!

If this doesn't work, I'll do the Sevin soil drench the next time I water.

Mikey, please let us know how you do with the Gnatrol!
I are sooooo smart!
