Your sans is a Jade. It is called Sansevieria Trifasciata 'Jade Dwarf Marginated'. I have posted a picture above on this posting. The Sans. Tri~ 'Jade' is the same with out the yellow edges.

Your Kalanchoe needs to be in a cactus soil mixed with pumice to increase water drainage. They require very little water and a soil without peat. No water retaining what so ever. I learned this the hard way myself. We call it Al's Gritty Mix. From another garden web posting. Also thanks for all the info above.
