Charter ATP Member I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database!
We have some native Bauhinias here as well but they don't have the showy flowers like the Asian species. So you don't get them in gardens. The one they recommend here is the Hong Kong Orchid Tree because the flowers are sterile and it's not invasive like some of the others. Having got mine from seed, well yes ........ I'll have a bit of weeding ahead of me.
