I always loved the upside down thistle feeders best. The Goldfinches really take to that type right away. To feed them naturally in the sumertime, grow some sunflowers in your yard from any type of black oil seeds and the Goldfinches will find them and eat out the seeds. They know when those seeds are ready, you don't have to do anything.
