I did love Beautiful Edgings when I had it in my garden. However it did not survive here. I had it in a pot which may have been a factor in it dying off. I had it for several years and it bloomed but not particularly well. The flowers were gorgeous and the edge was very pink in my garden. It died of crown rot one Spring due to big swings in temperature (late freezes). I've chosen not to replace it because it never did that well for me and I purchased another daylily with similar coloration that performs better.

I did hybridize using BE and in 2019 I had my first seedling bloom. I must say it does produce gorgeous seedlings!

Edited to add: I crossed BE with Golden Globe but only one seedling survived to bloom. It has bloomed for three years now and is a keeper for me.

The flowers are smaller than BE but larger than GG (5.75"). The seedling is a bit more cream colored than BE was is my garden. Mine was always a bit more yellow than I like.
