I have my plumeria on the roof. I live in a city of about a million people, considered the oldest continuously occupied city in North America. When the Spanish conquered it about 470 years ago, there had been a thriving Mayan city here for at least 500 years. They tore down the Mayan temples and used the stones to build their homes and the cathedral. I'm right in the center of the oldest part and I have a small garden surrounded by high stone walls so pretty much my only full sun is on the roof. I don't consider the roof as a place that has to look neat and presentable, it's my working and growing out area. It also has the gas tank, the water softener, pressure tanks and a clothesline - so you can tell that it isn't much to look at.

One of the plumeria is what I think is a species, it keeps its leaves and blooms all year but gets a little ratty looking in the winter. The others are some hybrid, multicolored and they lose most of their leaves in December and are just starting to regrow.

The only one that is still blooming.

One of the multi-colored ones that still has some leaves and is putting out what looks like a new bloom stalk.

This one has very few leaves but also a new bloom stalk and quite a few seed pods.

A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.
