My only arilbred iris, Roberto Marucchi's 'Colombina'. Was a fantastic iris in its first year. I was very impressed by how slow paced the openeing of the flowers were, truly sequential blooming, with three buds. If it can keep this up is subsequent years, it will be a real winner here. Late to bloom, later than my SDB's, despite its height of only 8 inches (20 cm).

I also thought that I bought its sister seedling 'Arlecchino', but that turned out to be a NOID, so I will have to attempt acquiring it again.

I found another image of Je m'Appelle Reviens:

This Loic Tasquier IB, is so far the only iris with actual real rebloom in my garden, although the pic above is from spring.
I got this wonderful plant from Mika and despite rather late planting for my area, it managed 2 shorter stems from one rhizome in spring and again 2 stems later in summer/autumn. Simply excellent performance.

'Beauty Becomes Her' This one proved to have spectacular growing qualities in my garden. Most TB's need some support for their stems in my garden, but not this one. Also very long blooming and rain tolerant.

Not exactly iris pictures, but Allium make good companion plants for irises and I found these images on the computer that I haven't uploaded to the DB before, so...

Allium 'Ostara' - A cross between A. karataviense and A. atropurpureum.
This is a fairly low Allium that is supposed to grow 16" (40 cm) tall, but actually in my garden it is lower. The height and bloom time in my garden is excellent for mixing with many IB's. Bloom time in other gardens may differ. The broad foliage will remain attractive throughout bloom. I guess this is a trait inherited from A. karataviense.
After bloom it will however still of course go completely dormant.
This Allium is however much easier to grow than karataviense. It also has a lot nicer color for my taste as karataviense is whitish gray. For this reason it has replaced karataviense in my garden.
A word of warning though, is that 'Ostara' spreads very quickly through masses of tiny rice grain sized bulbs.

'Globus' - is also fairly short at 18" (45 cm). It has a very slight pink touch to usual purple Allium color. It is quite long blooming. It however showed suspicious leaf pattern that might have been an indication of virus and as some of the bulbs subsequently rotted during summer storage I decided to discard everything. This does not mean that this isn't a good cultivar, but I just didn't want to take any chances of diseases spreading. Also I prefer the much taller 'Globemaster', which is an Allium that in my garden is pretty much superior to all others.
