Hi Everybody hope your 2020 is off to a great start I am finally getting some downtime and have the next few weeks to relax and enjoy some vacation time from work so wanted to share some of the pictures I took from the springtime visiting friends on the West Coast. Smiling

Looking back through the pictures it really was a wonderful season I was once again shocked at there new creations and amazed at the beauty they created. I have been visiting Joe Ghio for some years now and he had an incredible bloom season the best I have ever seen there everything just looked perfect ! and as a bonus was able to visit Bill Maryott and get a tour of his seedlings for those who grow Daylilies I have a treat for you Smiling

Oregon was much the same the Keppel garden was full of Outstanding Plicata's and unique flowers and Mid America was just gorgeous Thomas and Paul have so many fun projects and the colors they are getting was shocking we in the Iris world have many good good things to look forward to in the future Smiling

Will start with the new Ghio Intro's for 2020 they are now being Introduced through Schreiner's and from what I understand they ship overseas for those on here in different countries. Joe will still be hybridizing but the new intro's will come from Schreiner's. Looking back I thought his 2019's were some of the best he has released but this group is wonderful. I have been pushing for some of these for years not that I could sway him one way or another but I certainly tried Big Grin to point out a few of these while I visited.

Band Together.. If I was giving away awards for best yellow seedling this one would have got it hands down last year a must have and should go on to win lots of awards perfect in form, stems, and stunning in a clump.

Magical Powers..One I have been drooling over for years really stands out.. even in a garden full of wonderful Pinks this one has stopped me over and over again to admire it excited to finally be able to grow it at home and work with it. Note the form of it and the Pink Hafts you will take notice of this one when it blooms Smiling

Case In Point..Joe has told me for years some of the best have unknown pedigrees and this is a perfect example of it he has some really fun Plicata's coming down the pipeline and this one is exciting has the Ghio Form and the wide overlapping falls, stems to go with it and loaded with flowers look at the clump effect Smiling

Beyond The Rainbow..A perfect name for this one a very unique color you can see why Joe was excited about it there is nothing else like it love the color show this one puts on when the sun hits it and then as it starts to age so many different shades of color show up on the falls.
